Regular GivingHow much will you commit to ending poverty? It’s easy to make a regular commitment to give to aid and development organisations that work against global poverty. Pick a percentage of your income that you are willing to commit and then set up reminders to give as regularly as you choose. 0.7% is a tiny percentage of income to commit to aid and development – if you earn $30,000 a year, this translates to a mere $17.50 a month! But 0.7% is the proportion of income that governments have committed to aid of their national incomes, so why not start by making that commitment yourself. Why stop at 0.7% though, when this is such a tiny amount? Make a commitment that challenges you a bit. Try 5% or 10% of your income – or if it’s too much now, start small, and work your way to something greater. Your generosity contributes in a meaningful way to ending poverty.
