Rosie Sanger
Communications Intern
What is your role at GPP?
As a communications Intern at GPP my role involves things such as putting together briefs for our presenters prior to presentations, researching event opportunities and writing copy for promotional material, for instance at the moment I'm putting together information for our corporate tour to encourage bookings within this sector. Every day is different and tasks are varied.
What motivated you to volunteer?
Having recently travelled around Asia and seen first hand some of the social injustice, I felt compelled to do something to support raising the standards of living for people in less developed environments where basic things like adequate food and access to medical care are lacking. I was also keen to gain experience in development and have learned more than I could imagine in the few months I've been here already.
What do you think you have gained from your time at GPP?
I have met some great people by joining GPP, people who are passionate about the cause and their enthusiasm, commitment and positivity has changed my perception of the issues and made me realise how easy it is to make small efforts individually, which means big changes to the quality of people's lives elsewhere. GPP has inspired me and has also acted as a resource in a sense, providing me with useful information in order to increase my knowledge and understanding.
