To make it easier for you to fulfil your commitments, our team has put together these guides to assist you to take action!
Organise an advocacy or campaign event
Organising an advocacy or campaign event is a means of increasing awareness and action in your own community.
Have a cause or organisation that you want to do more than donate to? Organising an advocacy or campaign event is a means of increasing awareness and action in your own community. It's not as hard as you may think.
Advocacy initiatives can bring the voice of everyday people to the nation's policy-makers.
What can you do?
If you aren't ready to take on your own event, many organisations are now offering online advocacy and campaigns for people to join. Be sure to check out your favourite organisations' websites or ask them for details.
Start talking! If there is an organisation that you believe in and want to advocate for, contact them! They will be able to provide you with guidance and resources to host an event in your community. Talk to your friends, family and co-workers to see if they would be interested in helping you.
Be creative with the kinds of events you run - you can gather a group to organise a concert, dinner, rally or a road trip!
