90 Days of AIDS

The above clip - Topsy Foundation AIDS - Selinah / 90 days of Aids - shows the impact that access to drugs can have, in just 90 days.

The 18th international AIDS conference is on right now in Vienna - and with a vital round of negotiations underway for replenishment of the Global Fund, it's an appropriate time to pause and reflect on the challenge, and the success of fighting HIV/AIDS.

Over the next three years, the Global Fund needs $13 billion to continue their work as is, $17 billion to scale up on current trajectories, and $20 billion to scale up in a way that would enable us to hit the millennium development goal targets for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis.

It's a huge amount of money - but with the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of millions of people like Selinah.

Our friends at Results in the UK are campaigning on this issue right now - you can learn more about their work here.

The Topsy Foundation is currently providing Anti Retroviral meds to over 1500 individuals, but each month, as more and more people like Selinah come forward for help, our figures rise to meet the demand. Through our various projects and programmes aimed at assisting individuals infected and affected by HIV and AIDS, we are assisting thousands of people in need.

It is amazing to see the impact that ARV meds can have on one's quality of life.

We rely solely on donations, and with a budget of $2.6 million, this is not an easy task!

If watching our clip struck a chord with you, and you would like to help us, please go to www.topsy.org.za to find out how.

Every significant thing, begins with a single, small act. You can make a difference.
