Canadian Update

For those of you who don't know me.  Hello!  My name is Erin Deviney and I was initially part of the Global Poverty Project team in Australia and am now thrilled to be starting up GPP Canada.

I'm going to a bit sappy for a minute - a rarity for those that know me.  When I made the decision to leave Australia in July to return back to Canada, I felt a bit underwhelmed.  I was leaving something truly remarkable behind me.

Less than a week after returning home - the call came in.  'We are coming to Toronto".  And the rest is history.

Friday, September 11th marked the beginning of the GPP here in Canada.  I arrived at the Danforth Music Hall that morning afraid that it was going to be empty.  I left that day energized at what is going to come in 2010.

This is truly going to be a global movement and Canada is going to be a key part of it.

I'm not typically a blogger - I'll get more exciting as I go along.  Stay tuned.

One last thing.... if you saw the presentation on September 11th - what did you think?

Sincerely,

GPP Canada

Hi there -

That's happening with GPP Canada these days. I'm with RESULTS Canada and know that in the UK and Australia there are liaisons and wonder if you'dlike to do the same in Canada - or have something going already.

Love to hear back soon,
Anita Mark
